TOPCLIFFE ended Unison's unbeaten record last Sunday and gained revenge for the 8-0 defeat they suffered the last time the teams met.
The visitors got off to a flying start and went 2-0 up inside five minutes, Mike Hodgson evading the Unison keeper to slot home before Chris Moores scored with a crisp shot. Unison struggled to break down a resolute Topcliffe defence and they found themselves 3-0 down when keeper Ian Moore was unable to keep out an in-swinging James Machen corner just before half-time.
Both teams went close after the interval, Pepper hitting the post for Unison and Moores almost adding his second for Topcliffe.
Matthew Thomas' shot at the near post on the hour gave Topcliffe a seemingly unassailable 4-0 lead, but Unison pulled one back through Raw 15 minutes later and he quickly put away a second after Scanlan's pass found him.
Raw almost completed a remarkable hat-trick which would have put Unison right back in the game, but his shot was narrowly wide.
Topcliffe wrapped up a resounding 5-2 victory when Watson's close-range shot found its mark with just five minutes remaining.
Northallerton Police entertained Stokesley Sports Club in their division one encounter at Newby Wiske and went ahead after just three minutes when a Neil Foster cross was headed on by Edd Craven for Sam Vernalls to control the ball before volleying home from ten yards.
Stokesley almost equalised two minutes later when James Allsopp's shot across the keeper from 15 yards hit the far post and rebounded clear.
Police took advantage and increased their lead two minutes later when Andy Ingram put Tyrone Crow through on the right. He made no mistake with a fine shot from 18 yards.
Stokesley hit back again, with Jonathon Smith causing the Police defence problems with his pace. He was through on goal on 29 minutes, but Police keeper Jimmy Lagan made a fine save at his feet to prevent a certain goal.
Smith's efforts were rewarded after 33 minutes when his shot from 12 yards through a crowded goalmouth took a deflection past Lagan to reduce the arrears.
Police hit straight back to begin a flurry of four goals in the next five minutes. David Cooke scored with an exquisite chip over the advancing keeper from 18 yards and it was 4-1 a minute later when Curt Tasker's great ball found Craven, who chipped home from 22 yards.
Craig Hutton then scored with a fine shot from 12 yards to halve the deficit and it was 4-3 when Smith scored another fine goal.
Stokesley started the second half in great style and almost drew level after 48 minutes. Smith hit a vicious 20-yard shot which appeared to be going into the top corner, but Lagan somehow managed to tip the ball on to the bar.
Police eventually started to get into the game in the second half and went close on the hour when Vernalls beat two men only to see his shot cleared off the line.
The home side spurned further chances to seal the game, Jonny Craven heading over from six yards out after 69 minutes and Vernalls shooting over with only the keeper to beat seven minutes from time.
Smith was man of the match for Stokesley, with Vernalls taking the Police award in a game well-refereed by Peter Addison.
