Police on Teesside are asking people's help in tracking two men they wish to interview.
Officers are keen to speak to Christopher William Graham about a "substantial'' sum of counterfeit currency recovered in Middlesbrough more than a year ago.
Others were charged at the time but no action was taken against 37-year-old Mr Graham.
Police want to talk to him about the possession and use of an amount of forged money and possibly perjury, but efforts have failed to track down the man who has a number of tattoos including dots on his fingers, Boro MFC on his left wrist and UB40 on his right wrist. He is five feet, seven inches tall, of medium build with short, light brown hair.
Police want to interview six foot tall Mark Anthony Lilley about the theft of jewellery from two addresses in the Stockton area.
Green eyed, brown haired Mr Lilley, 25, who has a tattoo of a dagger and a heart on his left arm and a naked lady on his right arm, has not been seen in the area for about a year, following a fall out with family and friends.
Detective Constable Trevor Smith of the Cleveland Police Intelligence Unit said: "All too often people think that if they drop out of circulation and move to another area, police will forget they exist and any misdemeanours will be filed under the 'forgotten' category.
"This is not the case. These men are circulated on the police national computer and if they are spot checked they will be identified and arrested.''
He added: "It could well be they are still living locally and if so we would ask people to let us know where they are or urge these people themselves to come forward. It would be far better if they made themselves known now.''
Anyone with information should ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
