A VICTORIAN winter wonderland will be recreated in the centre of Darlington later this month.
It will be the first time the town has held a themed Christmas market on this scale.
Shoppers will be able to buy local crafts, foods and other Christmas gifts over four days.
Louise Toms, town centre manager, said: "This is new and there will be a real Victorian feel with carol singers in the background."
The market will be in Darlington market square from today until Sunday.
In addition the town's usual Christingle market will be on High Row from Thursday, December 16, to Thursday, December 23.
