A BUS service taking pupils to a Hartlepool school may be re-routed to stop overcrowding.
Service 826, from Throston Grange Lane to English Martyrs Secondary School, is operated by Stagecoach North-East, and runs during school terms on a morning and afternoon.
The school says students who need to travel on the afternoon journey are unable to do so because the bus is full.
Stagecoach has suggested re-routing the service to omit Tunstall Avenue, Granville Avenue and Grange Road in both directions and instead operate from Hart Lane into Serpentine Road and then via Wooler Road and Catcote Road; operating non-stop between Hart Avenue and the school; and replacing fares each way with a single fare.
Hartlepool Borough Council will discuss the plan today.
