FATHER Christmas is leaving his grotto to take up temporary residence at Hall Hill Farm, on the B6296 between Lanchester and Satley.

With him will be Bambi, Flower, Whisky, and Rudolph the deer, Primrose the Jersey cow, and Snowy the donkey.

Visitors can see the animals in their winter stables and join in carols, while the farm's tea shop will serve a range of festive fare.

The farm is open on Saturday and Sunday for the next two weekends.

Admission, including a visit to Father Christmas, costs £3.95 for adults and £2.95 for children over three. Entry is free for children under three.
