POLICE are becoming increasingly concerned for the safety of a North-East woman and her two-year-old daughter.
Wendy St Lawrence, 31, and daughter Lucie have a home in Borough Road, Darlington, but have been staying with family in Elton, near Chester, over the past year.
They were last seen on Friday, on Station Road, in Elton, heading towards the train station.
Ms St Lawrence was wearing a full-length cream coat, blue denim flares and white trainers. Her daughter was in a pushchair and was wearing a pink coat.
Cheshire Police have been liaising with their Darlington counterparts and have contacted family in the region.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "It is uncharacteristic for Wendy to go missing and we are now appealing for her to make contact with police, family or friends to provide everyone with reassurance she is safe and well."
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the pair should contact police on (01244) 350000.
