COMEDY duo Cannon and Ball are starting their Christmas pantomime run in the North-East tonight.
They are starring as pirates Smee and Yoo in Peter Pan, at Darlington Civic Theatre, alongside Lee Brennan, from the boy band 911, who plays the boy who never grew up.
Celena Cherry, who found fame as one third of the successful girl group The Honeyz, is Tigerlily.
A theatre spokesman said: "We are really pleased with our cast because there is something for everyone.
"Cannon and Ball are well established panto stars and have been on the circuit for years.
"Peter Pan is a lovely Christmas panto and this year is the centenary of JM Barrie's story. It has stood the test of time and is still drawing audiences."
Steve Arnott brings the evil Captain Hook to life, while Clare Huckle is Wendy and Lesley Mackie is Mrs Darling.
Staged by Qdos Entertainment, the largest pantomime producer in the world, the season is sponsored by Haven and British Holidays.
One free mini-break holiday will be given away at every performance during its run.
Peter Pan runs from until January 23. Tickets, ranging from £9.50 to £16.50, are available from the box office, on (01325) 486555.
