A SELL-OUT concert by Bedale Festival Choir raised £1,100 for Macmillan Cancer Relief.
The concert, held at St Gregory's Church, was backed by local people and businesses, including a late donation by The Buck Inn, Thornton Watlass. Choir treasurer Tony Mahoney and choir director Richard Boyton presented a cheque to Paddy Shepherdson, of Macmillan Cancer Relief, at St Gregory's.
The choir will be back in action on Saturday, December 18, at Bedale Hall with its annual For It Is Christmas concert.
Tickets cost £7, which includes mulled wine and mince pies. They can be bought from Inglenook arts and crafts and Towler's Newsagents in Bedale, at the door, or by calling (01677) 425800
