PUPILS at Springfield Primary School this week performed in the last nativity show to be held at the school.
Children at the school, which moves next October to the new education village in Salters Lane South, performed the musical A Child is Born.
Almost all the school's 210 pupils, aged between five and 11, were involved in the 45-minute concert on Tuesday and Thursday.
Staff and children prepared for the production for weeks, arriving at 8am to rehearse dance routines and learn songs and lines.
Anna Evans, the school's headteacher, said that parents and children alike enjoyed the production, particularly the end, where the children collected their parents from the audience for a mass sing-a-long.
She said the school was looking forward to moving to the new education village, which will have modern dance and drama facilities.
"The children and staff have worked so well to put on this wonderful production. I am so pleased and proud I have had the opportunity to work with these people."
