A GROUP of Darlington children spent three days and nights at an outdoor activity centre on a team-building exercise.
Year seven pupils from Eastbourne Comprehensive School were accompanied by teachers Robert Caldwell and Sarah Spence. They took part in survival and team-building activities, including rock-climbing, hiking and orienteering.
Headteacher Karen Pemberton said: "It is about working together in little groups and it really builds up their confidence. It is something that kids do not always get to do and it teaches about the sort of skills they will need in life.
"It teaches them how to look after themselves and each other. They all had to pitch in and had a lovely time."
