CHILDREN at a secondary school on Teesside have done their bit to make sure every family in their home town has a hearty Christmas this year.
Pupils aged 12 and 13 at Ian Ramsey Church of England School, in Stockton, have presented hampers which they prepared to the Salvation Army.
The hampers, presented to Major Peter Clark, of the Stockton Citadel, will be distributed to families across Stockton.
Cliff Iddison, deputy headmaster of the school's year eight, said, "The pupils approached the project with real enthusiasm. It is great to see young people thinking of others."
The school hopes to continue to develop its links with the Salvation Army in Stockton through a number of joint activities.
