CHILDREN at a Durham City school will be taking part in their own version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? today to learn all about number skills and raise money for charity at the same time.
Pupils at Durham School will take part in a game inspired by Chris Tarrant's TV show during a Number Day to raise money for the NSPCC.
Year seven pupils will answer increasingly tough maths questions worth up to one million points. The higher the scores go, the more money there will be for the children's charity. Teacher Tom Bailey said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for our young pupils to consolidate their understanding of key mathematics through exciting and stimulating activities, while at the same time raising vital funds for this very worthwhile cause.
