THIS year's Yarm Christmas window display has been won by a new shop in the town.
Sue Harriman only opened Cameo, which specialises in home accessories, in May and has won the annual prize for the town's best dressed window at the first attempt.
The shop, in Fairfax Court, off the High Street, is the third in the chain, with two other shops in Norton and Stokesley.
Joint runners-up in the competition, sponsored by Yarm Town Council, were Boyes and florist Sandra Rose.
Kath Gull, manager of Cameo in Yarm, said: "It's a bit of fun, really, but it was lovely to win it."
Competition judge Lynne Tebbs said: "Cameo's window display echoes the interior of the shop, with its red, black and gold theme. It looks like a lot of thought and planning has gone into creating the display."
