A PAIR of border collies who were rehomed five months ago by an animal charity now need another new home.
The pair, Katie and Kim, are described as very intelligent, with lots of energy.
When The Northern Echo featured their plight in June, the dogs were placed into a loving home, but circumstances have now changed and the family are out of their house much of the time. So Pauline Wilson, of the National Animal Sanctuary Support League, in Sadberge, is appealing for another family to come forward.
She said: "We are looking for an active family who enjoy walks and the country life." She hopes the dogs can stay together, but said they could be parted.
Katie is eight and Kim nine, but border collies can live to be 14 or 15, and the dogs still have a lot to offer.
Mrs Wilson said: "Katy is more playful and Kim is more laid back, but they are lovely and have been well looked after. They are both very fit and healthy. They have been family pets, are used to children and are very nice natured.
Anyone who can help is asked to contact Mrs Wilson on (01325) 321855 or 07748 268822.
