THE latest phase of a scheme to create a community on the edge of Darlington is to go before planners.
Bussey and Armstrong has submitted plans to Darlington Borough Council, seeking consent for a community building on the West Park development, at Faverdale.
The proposed building, at the eastern end of the development, includes a supermarket on the ground floor, other commercial space and 36 flats.
The firm also wants to provide 98 parking spaces and create a landscaped courtyard in the centre of the development.
Council officers are recommending that the scheme be approved when planning committee members meet on Wednesday.
