Three kilometres of footpaths will be opened at visitor sites in County Durham.
Among the sites to benefit will be the Causey Arch area in Stanley, Blackhall Rocks in east Durham, Waldridge Fell Country Park, near Chester-le-Street, and Pow Hill Country Park, on the banks of the Derwent Reservoir.
County Durham Environmental Trust is funding the £100,000 project to improve access.
