RESIDENTS will soon be covered by a round-the-clock emergency response service to deal with flooding, overflowing sewers, dangerous buildings, emergency highway cleaning and winter maintenance.
Ryedale District Council's policy and resources committee has voted to introduce a pilot stand-by emergency service for six months at a cost of almost £6,500.
