PLANS to continue dismantling cars and storing vehicle parts for sale on a County Durham site will be discussed by councillors this week.
Planning officers have recommended that Durham County Council's planning committee meeting on Wednesday approve an application for a certificate of lawfulness for the Old Colliery Yard, in Sacriston.
A directive designed to reduce waste from the recovery and recycling of cars and vans has applied new standards to existing sites, requiring operators to apply for a fresh licence.
