HOMELESS people enjoyed a Christmas lunch to remember, courtesy of a Darlington church and college catering students.
For the second year running, Darlington College of Technology catering students cooked for people who do not have anywhere to live.
They teamed up with the town's Grange Road Baptist Church to provide a Christmas lunch for the homeless.
This year, guests were asked to donate £1, which will be sent to help charitable causes in Africa.
Pat Sludds, who runs the church's Basement project for homeless people, said: "I approached the college to come down here and help the homeless and it has proved really popular.
"It is fantastic what the college does for us, and I think the students are marvellous."
Darlington College tutor Clare Mitchell said: "It was such a success last year that we decided to make it an annual event.
"It's great for the students and gives them the chance to do outside catering and plan an event."
