Construction company M&M Plasline (MMP), in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, has appointed STEVE THOMPSON as deputy managing director of its pre-fabrication division.
The appointment comes following MMP's recent acquisition of Metek Building Systems (MBS), a Bristol company specialising in light steel frame technology, which has now moved its manufacturing to Newton Aycliffe, County Durham.
MMP is also transferring its headquarters to Newton Aycliffe.
Mr Thompson brings more than 21 years manufacturing experience to MMP and MBS, having spent 17 years at dehumidifier maker Ebac, in Bishop Auckland, before being operations director of an air conditioning company.
The 39-year-old said: "This is a very exciting time for me to be joining the MMP Group and I am looking forward to developing Metek Building Systems as a key driving force in the MMP business.
"Having worked in manufacturing for many years, I hope to bring the manufacturing disciplines that I have learned into construction."
