A FATHER spoke yesterday of his pride in his son who died in a car crash days before his wedding.
Kristoffer Tott, 22, an RAF technician, was due to marry American fiancee Blair Anderson, also 22, on Saturday.
The Stockton man died after a car accident near Newmarket, Suffolk, on December 1, as he was making his way home.
Last night, Mr Tott's father, Alan, of Hartburn, Stockton, told of his "incredible pride" in his son.
He said: "He was a young man who was enthusiastic about everything - full of life. He was caring, with a lovely, dry sense of humour. He was a marvellous, marvellous son."
The crash, on the A14 near Newmarket, involved two lorries and Mr Tott's Honda car. He died of his injuries in hospital last Thursday.
He and Miss Anderson, a US airwoman, had planned to live in England, but she plans now to return to Georgia.
The couple, who lived together, were due to be married at Saltburn's Rushpool Hall.
Mr Tott, a former pupil of Ian Ramsey School, studied business at Bede College and then electronics at Billingham College. He then taught guitar in New York when he was 18 before joining the RAF.
The family has received a letter from the police exonerating Mr Tott from any blame in the accident. Hugh Ouwwehand, 51, from Holland, has been charged with careless driving after the accident.
An inquest into Mr Tott's death was opened yesterday.
