THERE was a real touch of Christmas magic at a flower club's monthly meeting.
Members and friends of Darlington Flower Club were entertained by the Masonaires with songs from the shows and seasonal carols.
The competition, called Christmas Magic, was judged by Tom and June Sutton Kay, from Sunderland.
In the advanced class, Peggy Sampson won first prize with Rita Whitehouse, second, and Elsie Ramsdale, third.
Morag Whitehead was highly commended.
Janet Garlick gained a silver star in the intermediate class.
The club's next meeting is on Wednesday, February 2, at 2pm, in St Cuthbert's Church, Darlington when Pamela Lewis, from Devizes, will give a demonstration called Forging Ahead.
