A woman who may have information on a missing puppy is being urged to come forward by police.
The woman, who said she was from Northallerton, was in Keelby, Lincolnshire, last Wednesday when the 17-week-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel went missing.
The puppy, called Penny, was last seen being held by the woman, who was driving through Keelby with a male companion at about 3.30pm.
She took the puppy to the newsagents and post office to find out where it lived, before being given an address by a neighbour. It is not known what happened after this and the puppy has not been seen since.
The woman is believed to have been looking for properties in Keelby and is described as being in her early thirties, slim, with long, thick blonde hair.
PC Simon Percy, from Lincolnshire Police, said: "This woman is not under suspicion, but we need her help to find the puppy because that was the last positive sighting we have of it."
Owner Evelyn Bellamy said: "I just want to find her. She's so young and it is terrible that she is missing.
Anyone with information is asked to call (01522) 532222.
