A budget flight aimed at winter sports fans was launched yesterday.
Low-cost airline easyJet opens a route to Geneva, in Switzerland, from Newcastle International Airport.
It will also link in with its easyJet4ski equipment hire service.
Moira Findlay, easyJet's marketing manager, said: "Geneva is an ideal gateway for a winter skiing or snowboarding break, with a great choice of French and Swiss resorts close by."
The airline already flies to three other snow sport destinations from Newcastle
