A GERMAN Christmas market in the region has entered its final week of trading.
The market in Sunderland will come to an end on Sunday and has been hailed a success by organisers.
Hauke Bestman, 23, from Kiel, who is studying English and politics at Sunderland University, is a translator helping the stallholders.
He said: "One of the strangest requests I translated was, 'Can I have 100 litres of ketchup, please?'.
