FORMER Conservative party leader William Hague visited a library to talk about his latest book.
The Richmondshire MP's biography of William Pitt the Younger gives an insight into the life and times of the British prime minister during the Industrial and French revolutions.
Mr Hague visited Northallerton library to talk to people about the work.
In addition to the talk and book signing, there was also an exhibition of prints by the satirist James Gillray relevant to the period of William Pitt, which are usually stored in North Yorkshire County Council's record office.
James Gillray was a prolific printmaker, and his satirical cartoons provide an unconventional perspective of society and political figures at the end of the 18th Century.
