TWO former Sunderland footballers are taking an anti-racism message into schools tomorrow.
Former Black Cats star Gary Bennett, along with ex-Sunderland player Kieron Brady, are visiting Easington Colliery Primary School to launch the Show Racism the Red Card campaign.
They will team up with Sarah Soyei, from the campaign, to carry out football training and classroom workshops with pupils.
Former Darlington FC manager Mr Bennett will do the field work, while Mr Brady and Ms Soyei will run classroom workshops.
"This is the beginning of an exciting programme in East Durham," said Ms Soyei.
"We aim to build on the success of our work in Sunderland and reach thousands of young people with our anti racist message," she said.
The project is supported by the School Sport Co-ordinator Partnership and Easington District Council.
