CHILDCARE workers on Teesside are asking parents to help protect young people from passive smoking.
SureStart, the parents and children's support group in the Hardwick, Milehouse and Roseworth areas of Stockton, has drawn up a pledge.
It asks parents not to smoke in the presence of young children or take them into smoky atmospheres and to keep their homes smoke-free.
Those who sign will be entered into a prize draw. Parents can learn more from Claire Jones on (01642) 528059.
