PARENTS were moved to tears as they watched 40 children in a Nativity play called Whoops-a-Daisy Angel.
The three to five-year-olds, from the nursery and reception classes, performed their Christmas play at Middleton-in-Teesdale Primary School.
Jenny Teward performed in the title role of Daisy Angel, with Lucy Atkinson as Mary and Jack Addison as Joseph.
The Three Kings were George Wellsby, James Duffes and Hazel Beadle.
Nursery teacher Victoria Oliver, who produced the play with reception teacher Ann Hillaby, said: "There were quite a lot of tears in the audience.
"One mother told me that she cried all the way through."
