A PLANNING application has been submitted for a housing development in the garden of a large Victorian villa.
The application, for outline approval for a site at Primrose House, Primrose Drive, Ripon, was refused by the area planning committee of Harrogate Borough Council in August.
A revised scheme for the site has been tabled for part of a garden at a cul-de-sac off Palace Road.
Agents for the applicant said discussions had been held with planning officers to provide a more acceptable development.
The consultants said the site was within the development limits of Ripon on previously developed land and complied with the local plan.
But an objector has said the development would bring extra traffic and that there was no need for further housing in Ripon.
Planning officer Mark Williams has recommended that councillors approve the scheme, which could lead to three detached homes being built.
