HUNDREDS of people turned out for a spectacular carol concert yesterday raising money for BBC Children In Need.
The BBC Radio Cleveland Carols for Christmas show featured performances from Cleveland Philharmonic Choir and Stockton Junior Voices.
Guests were entertained with a 150-piece choir and a full supporting band, which included the Tees Valley Youth Choir and the Tees Valley Youth Wind Orchestra.
Father Gerard Robinson and the Reverend Paul Walker led the service, which was held in Middlesbrough's Town Hall in front of about 700 people.
Managing editor Andrew Glover said: "Everyone was really looking forward to this year's carol concert -it is a great way for us to meet our listeners and raise money for Children in Need."
The festivities were recorded live for the show, which will be broadcast on Christmas Day at 8am and on Boxing Day at 9am.
