A FATHER and son will celebrate Christmas on stage together for the first time this year.
Sixteen-year-old Jamie Pedrick is playing one of the dwarfs in Snow White, at the Forum Theatre, in Billingham, near Stockton, in is his first professional acting role.
Joining him on stage is his proud father, John, a veteran of 25 pantomimes.
Appearing in the show means they get to spend Christmas Day together for the first time.
John, 57, from Garston, Norfolk, said: "I have always been away from home over Christmas as the pantos I have been in have been too far away to go back.
"It is fantastic that Jamie is in the show with me so that we can have a Christmas together at last."
John has appeared in movies such as Willow, Return of the Jedi and Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
Jamie said: "I remember seeing him in a panto when I was about four, and I knew then that this was what I wanted to do. I am really proud of my dad and it has been great having him here to show me the ropes."
