CHILDREN got arty during a Christmas craft day in Darlington yesterday.
Youngsters aged from two to 12 took part in the fun session at Maidendale House community centre on the Firthmoor estate.
The children made salt dough tree decorations, paper snowmen and a nativity scene.
Senior playworker Rachel Fitch said: "The kids love arts and crafts as they love seeing the end result. We had Christmas songs on in the background while we worked and it was really good fun."
There will be another arts and crafts session at the centre tomorrow, from 10.30am to 12.30pm, and a Christmas cookery workshop, from 2pm to 4pm.
Youngsters up to the age of 16 are welcome to attend, but those aged under eight must be accompanied by an adult.
