CHRISTMAS cards designed by students in Darlington will be winging their way across the region over the festive season.
Darlington Borough Council and the College of Technology have each chosen student designs for their official cards.
BTEC National Diploma multi-media student Suzanne Wood designed a Christmas market scene for the council's winter wonderland event held earlier this month.
Council officials liked the design so much they have selected the image for their Christmas card, which is being sent to 400 people in the region.
BTEC National Diploma in design student Leanne Dodsworth, 17, had her work chosen for the Darlington College Christmas card.
"I'd been working with stars in textiles and thought they would make a nice design for a Christmas card," she said. "It was a real surprise when mine was chosen and I was really pleased."
About 1,000 cards are being sent out across the region."
