A COMPANY is offering a reward following an unsuccessful attempt to rob staff at one of its convenience shops.
The Bells stores is offering an undisclosed sum to anyone with information that may lead to the conviction of the two offenders.
Two assistants, one in her mid-40s and the other in her early 20s, were working at the store, in Grove Road, Brandon, near Durham, when two hooded teenagers entered.
One was armed with a claw hammer and the other was also thought to be armed.
They threatened the assistants and demanded cigarettes and when refused, they left.
The incident took place at about 10.10pm on Tuesday, November 30. Anyone with information is asked to call Durham Police, on 0845 606 0365.
