A £400,000 recycling centre has opened in east Cleveland.
The centre, at Carlin Howe Farm, Dunsdale, is the second to be opened by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council.
The first was the Warrenby Recycling Centre. Councillor Bob Stanway, the council's cabinet member for environmental improvement, said: "The recycling centre is modern, with easy access, and we are expecting it to be well used. We would encourage householders to use the site as well as Warrenby.
"Recycling is becoming a way of life and in this borough we are providing services for people.''
The centre at Dunsdale, which is near Guisborough, is open from 8am until 4.30pm, seven days a week. It will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
