A SHOPPER was handed the keys to a brand new car yesterday after winning a competition at a Darlington supermarket.
Jim Miller was handed the keys to the Smart car at Netto's Neasham Road store.
Customers were asked to guess how many Robert Wiseman two-litre milk cartons were crammed into the car at the opening of the store in October. Thirty runners-up won vouchers.
Mr Miller, 33, of Darlington, was only three short of the correct number - 644.
He was presented the car by store manager Jon Cowen while runners-up Ian Calvert, Brian Armstrong and Susan Black were present to collect £40 vouchers.
Mr Cowen said: "I would like to congratulate Jim for his brilliant guess - a Smart prize for a smart winner."
