Courses to help people trace their family history start next month.
Durham County Council's Clayport Library, in Claypath, Durham, is offering ten-week family history courses.
The programme, organised in partnership with New College Durham, will be led by tutor Anne Hinchliffe.
It includes Family History for Beginners, an intermediate course and Family History on the Internet.
Sessions will run in the library on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
The library also offers a monthly talk on family or local history.
The next is entitled Wills in Durham, by Dr Michael Stansfield from Palace Green Library, and takes place on Saturday, January 29, at 2pm. Tickets are £2 and are available from Clayport Library on 0191-386 4003.
