REDCAR and Cleveland Borough Council has announced plans for the refuse collection catch-up after the Christmas and New Year holidays.

The service has been suspended for two weeks, starting December 20 until Tuesday, January 4.

The Community Household Waste Recycling Centre, in Warrenby and the Community Household Waste Recycling Centre at Carlin Howe Farm, off the B1269 at Dunsdale, will be open seven days a week from 8am to 4.30pm apart from Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

Residents can take real Christmas trees for recycling at either of the centres.
