A HIT movie by a local filmmaker has been sent to shops, but shelves are emptying quickly.
After a sellout show at Middlesbough's UGC multiplex cinema, A Century In Stone has been released on video.
Teesside's iron-mining and steel- making glory was captured on screen by Eston-born filmmaker Craig Hornby. He said: "Demand has been incessant for weeks. We set up a makeshift production line in the house and a bunch of us packed 2,000 videos in one night.
"The next day we got them out to 20 outlets. The feedback is that people are buying several at a time for relatives far and wide.
"I think we can say the Christmas Iron Rush has begun."
Mr Hornby attended a signing session at Guisborough Book-shop to promote the film.
