A Teesside adoption charity is celebrating a successful appeal to find would-be adopters.
NCH Adoption appealed for potential applicants who could offer vulnerable children a loving home.
Eleven people came forward to inquire about the opportunity to improve a youngster's life.
Helga Cullum, deputy project manager at the Middlesbrough office, said three people had contacted her as a direct result of the appeal and about eight others checked the charity's website before contacting her team.
It may not seem like a huge number of people, but Mrs Cullum said one contact could make a big difference to a child.
The charity specialises in finding homes for children who are disabled, have special needs, need a home that will take all their siblings, or who are from ethnic minority backgrounds.
Mrs Cullum said: "We would still welcome any inquiries from all sectors of the community - all races, single people, couples, and people with or without their own children and people of any age."
