A CONSTRUCTION worker pulled a knife from his sock to threaten a man who made advances towards his girlfriend.
Keith Anderson, 19, of Barden Moor Road, Darlington, visited Mark Deighton's flat after a drinking session on August 10.
Miriam Towers, prosecuting, said he produced the knife and told Mr Deighton to stay away from his girlfriend.
Mr Deighton was injured in a struggle, suffering two inch-long cuts to his arm.
Anderson admitted assault causing actual bodily harm and carrying an offensive weapon yesterday. He was given a one-year community rehabilitation order and 40 hours' community service. He must also pay £50 costs and £50 compensation.
