Darlington residents are urged to look beyond the seasonal festivities and make plans to recycle their Christmas trees and cards.
Tree collection points will be operating from January 5 to 14. The trees will be collected and chipped.
Cards can be recycled at local WH Smith and Tesco recycling sites.
Tree recycling points are:
South Park, Bedford Street entrance; Homebase, Darlington Retail Park; Woodburn nursery in Salutation Road; North Park; B & Q, Whessoe Road; Sugar Hill Park, Prior Street entrance; Water Park, Middleton St George; Hurworth Grange Community Centre; Whessoe Road civic amenity site; Eastbourne Park; Gardeners' Barn, off Albert Road; Rockwell Pastures; Heighington village hall car park.
