A woman who works with homeless families has used her artistic skills to create a creche.
Lisa Andrews designed the facility at St James House, in Stockton, where a housing group-run centre helps the homeless. She transformed the walls with characters from The Jungle Book.
St James can be accommodate up to 70 people made homeless for a variety of reasons including fire or domestic upheaval.
Most stay for a few months before they move on to permanent accommodation.
Three Rivers Housing Group and Asda helped to buy furniture for the creche.
Colin Buck, St James House project leader, said: "Originally, all we had was a basic room with a few toys in it and now it has been transformed.
"Lisa not only put months of work into organising this but also surprised us all with her fantastic artwork."
St James House is now working with SureStart and aims to get the certificates the creche needs to be fully operational as soon as possible.
