A SHOP worker is to retire after a decade of getting up at 4.30am to serve customers.
Pat Cattle, 62, has worked the early shift at the One-Stop Shop in Hambleton Road, Norton, near Malton, for the past ten years.
"I've never had a day off sick and I've never been late," she said. "I've enjoyed it very much. I've met lots of new faces and got to know some really nice people.
My favourite part about the job has been meeting people. My customers know my name and I find out theirs." Store manager Lesley Green said Pat would be sorely missed by both the customers and the staff.
