POLICE are trying to trace a man who has worried residents by riding round a village on a child's mini-motor- cycle.
A number of complaints were made after the man riding the yellow machine was seen on roads and footpaths in Gainford, near Barnard Castle, County Durham.
Inspector Kevin Tuck, of Barnard Castle police, said: "A number of offences may have been committed, including riding the machine on a footpath, and without insurance or MoT certificate."
Despite inquiries in the village, officers had been unable yesterday to speak to the man or trace anyone knowing his name or address.
Anyone able to provide information is asked to call PC Stephen Wailes on 0845-6060365 or 0800-555111.
