International project and cost consultancy Faithful and Gould (F&G) has secured a contract with National Grid.
The company will provide quantity surveying services and project management support on two pilot schemes in the Midlands.
The West Midlands JAS (Joint Activities Solutions) and the East Midlands and East Anglia JAS have a combined value of £40m and were won separately by F&G after a competitive tender.
National Grid is a relatively new client for F&G.
Regional director Dennis Edwards said the two pilot schemes had significantly reinforced the company's position with National Grid.
Mr Edwards, who will co-ordinate the projects from F&G's Teesside office, said: "For the past five years, we have been heavily involved in very similar work for Transco, together with our national office network and this undoubtedly stood us in good stead.
"With National Grid's buoyant investment programme, we hope there will be scope for further involvement in the future."
