A COMPETITION is taking place to reward residential homes which promote and adopt healthy living.
The competition, in its tenth year, highlights local authority and privately-run residential homes which demonstrate a commitment to a healthy, clean and safe living environment.
Judges will be looking for homes offering good standards of hygiene, balanced diets, smoke-free dining areas, well-managed health and safety procedures and well-trained staff.
Further details of the Healthy Homes Awards are available from the Health Promotions Unit, at Sunderland Civic Centre, on 0191-553 1705, or 1706.
