A SIXTH form college is to host a visit from a Government minister next week.
Dr Kim Howells, Minister of State for Lifelong Learning, will meet students at Prior Pursglove College in Guisborough on Wednesday.
Dr Howells will be taken on a tour of the recently-completed £3.5m improvements which have been completed at the college. He will also meet students.
College principal Stephen Whitehead said: "We are delighted that Dr Howells is coming to Prior Pursglove in his quest to find out more about the job we do in the community. Sixth form colleges provide a chance for young people to develop in an adult but supportive environment."
Dr Howells will arrive at the college at 9am, accompanied by local MP, Dr Ashok Kumar.
