NORTHERN Echo columnist Mark Reid has brought out a revised edition of an acclaimed walking guide.
Mr Reid, who writes a column in The Northern Echo's 7Days pullout, has published guides under the Inn Way title -circular walks via traditional pubs covering areas including the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales.
Now he has brought out a second edition of his Inn Way to Black Sheep Pubs, involving re-walking all 25 Yorkshire Dales walks, taking in 204 miles and 77 pubs serving ale brewed by the Masham brewery, adding new walks and more historical information. The guide was last year named one of the six best guides by The Times.
Mr Reid said: "It has been five years since I first began to research the 25 walks in this book and I had almost forgotten how wonderfully varied the Yorkshire Dales are."
The guide is available by calling (01423) 871750.
